    Extra 0.5-1" drop?

Right now I have H&R Sport Springs on my '90 325i with Bilstein shocks and everything else stock. The back is ok, but I want to lower the front about 0.5-1.0" more. Is there a way to do this without buying new springs/coilovers? Would getting camber plates lower the front a little? Or would it stay the same?

like not kmac or something? if thats the case, you might as well just get coilovers. I'm looking for something cheap here.

Camber plates only lower about half in inch with stock diameter springs though. Combined with spring pad removal this will make it noticeably better, but still not even.

With the front springs, you could just cut a dead coil?

Dead coil story is crap. DO NOT cut the coils. There are numerous reasons not to, and it DOES effect the ride.

GC plates will cost $300 and take you down 12mm. If you are looking for a less expensive alternative, you can make drop hats. It is not difficult. There is not a company who makes drop hats for our cars (at least not anywhere near quality).

Right. and drop hats don't? Everything does a number on ride/handling, from the weight of the car to the height and tires/air in your tires etc ;)

dropped hats would be the only "real" way to go- you could lower the spring perch- but thats alot of work to do.

drop hats give you more but at the cost of suspension travel. IMO camber plates are the way to go, no real drawbacks other than maybe slightly stiffer, which is probably a good thing anyway.
