what does the throttle body heater plate do? Also isn't the washer system slightly important when you drive a veicle on the road?

it keeps the TB from icing up (and no it doesn't have to be freezing for that to happen!)

as far as the washer system - nah. wash your car. ;)

Engine...I figured it was useless with a frozen bearing and poped head gasket, much more nimble.

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

Whats the part number for the charcoal canister, I wanted to take a look at realoem.
Do you need to do anything special when removing it?

I took off my AC compressor off my new engine before giving it to the mechanic to drop in for me, but the guy took the one off my old engine and charged me for the belt and the labor, after I told him to leave it off... sigh. What I get for not finishing the swap myself.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

A lot of people called BS on this one when I was considering pulling mine because of a leak. I ended up deleting it, and the TB actually has frozen on me, twice. It happened when I drove the car, parked in the warm, more humid garage overnight, and then drove it the next day. 10 minutes or less into the drive, the throtte stuck at about 2000 to 2500 rpm. If I don't park in the garage, this never happens.

                  .
there's really no reason to remove it, it doesn't rob any horsepower, and probably helps your fuel economy.

my ABS actually saved my ass yesterday.. a light turned yellow so I stopped. it was pretty wet and the traction on the left and right sides of the car was not even (one side was asphalt, the other side tar). the car pitched left about 15 degrees, then ABS came on and straigthened me out.

I probably could have just blew the light but part of me just wanted to see how well I could stop in the wet. No amount of threshold braking would help in that situation, since you can't change how the left and right sides of the car brake manually.

there wasn't anything for me to hit (middle of nowhere) so I probably would have just spun, but I really didn't want to find out. :)
                                I do that sometimes
