    Steering Wheel shaking

I drove a friend's 91 325i I am looking to buy. Pretty positive I am gonna get it. One problem with it is that when you brake in the middle, not hard or light, the steering wheel shakes. We're pretty sure its warped rotors. Is that what all you guys think it is? My brother said he is almost certain thats what it is. If thats the only problem I am definitely getting it.

How time consuming is it to change CAB's? How much do CAB's cost?

$80 and hour or two keep in mind you need a press to put the new bushing on so some shop time might be added to my est. and factor in an hour or two.
My bet is on the rotors though, but if it is a new car to you why not do both anyways.

I wont do both at the same time because of the cost. I have to save a little at a time to fix stuff like that. And the first thing I am doing to the car are things like that. :) Making sure its in perfect mechanical condition.

Dude, you don't do shit like that one side at a time. If you can't afford to buy a pair of CABs then you shouldn't be driving an E30.

then start by having the rotors turned and see what that does, when my CAB's were toast a moderately hard stop the last 5mph of which would make the ABS go crazy trying to stop the car when it was unnecc. b/c the wheel was moving slightly just a tip to see if it is your CAB's better yet when you get the car take a pic of them and post it on here, we'll tell you.

No no no, I meant I would buy CAB's first and have rotors wait. Then 2 weeks later get new rotors. Not one side at a time. lol

Oh well in that case, do the rotors first. If you do the CABs and then you still have warped rotors, you might put unnecessary wear and tear on the new CABs.

Ok, Rotors will come first then. ATE rotors from Ireland Engineering good? Or Borlo or something like that? If they are both solid rotors, would I really notice that much of a difference? Also, what about Zimmerman cross drilled rotors?

If you want slotted rotors you could go with the ATE's. I personally run the OEM solid Brembo's, and they have been great. I have heard good things about Balos as well.

Cross drilled are unnecessary for most applications, they cost more, and don't last as long. High bling factor though.

I think they just look poser most of the time. Your car is stock right? Do you still have bottlecaps? You can even see the rotors on those.
