Adding an oil cooler to any engine is usually a good thing. I say go for it, considering it's fairly simple and can bolt up just like the factory did it.

i wrecked a B25 and bolted it up to my B20 just because it was there. Didnt make any noticable difference at all. but then with the car being used 90% of the time for 15minutes (albiet hard driving) it probably never got to temp anyway. could see the benifit in a hot climate, but its still hot air going past the cooler

I say install because you have it, no other reason

I might put one on as well this weekend but I dont know if I realy want to. My e car runs fine without one, seems like more stuff to have to fk with. I guess it could always be added if needed.

"hot" is relative. even the hottest places get to like 110-115f. Your oil can easily hit 250-260f, so the "hot" ambient air is still going to cool it down quite a bit.

but yeah, you'll never warm it up with a 15 minute drive, "hard" driving or not - my oil temp barely starts to move at 15 minutes of street driving.

With my oil cooler, driving in the summer in Indiana in 95 degree temps sitting in traffic, the oil temp will NEVER get above 200 degrees F. I've never seen it get hotter than that. And like Nando said, the oil temp will barely get to 120 degrees after driving for about 10-15 minutes.

If you want to eliminate the oil filter adapter you need part 11112140435
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
