unless you'v welded sheet metal before then i dont recomend it, you could either burn a hole in the metal or warp it which is a big pain in the ass but if you have just but weld it together and smooth it out with filler after.

just make a nice consistent seam weld, that will make it easier to grind the welds flat to get a nice "straight" finish :giggle:

umm except for the fact the excessive heat from welding will cause the roof to distort
make hundreds of small tack welds until it's sealed up then grind and bondo

would look this * * * * * * all the way around then just keep going around and around allowing the metal to cool so you don't warp the shit out of everything.

or just buy a new damn seal.

I was wondering the same damn thing. Sunroofs suck. I don't desire to change the look from the outside, just stop the wind noise and give myself an extra inch of interior headroom.

I have mild wind noise from the front of the sunroof when going about 75 or higher. Is this normal, or will a new seal make it totally silent? I've already adjusted the hight as described in the Benteley (Front a few millimeters low, back a few millimeters high) and it didn't help.

i dont have any wind noise, so the seal will probably take care of that, neither mine or my friends car does.

nope this guy is wrong, weld a consistent bead so you make sure you get a good seal, I promise :drink: :giggle:

Thanks. I'm going to tape mine up to see if that makes it stop. If so, I'll start looking into a possible new seal. Or, I'll just pour a gallon of superglue into the f*cker. :borg:
