    I havent had any surging problems with mine, no chip either. I will chip mine eventually, once I can find an ECU to put the chip into. I have a BMP CAI on mine and I thought that would lean things out even more, But I havent had any problems car stays right in the middle on my temp gauge.

      An intake would have 0 affect on your coolant temperatures.

        more air= possible lean condition
        I figure that would cause you car to run a little warmer

          more air does not = lean, ever, unless youve got no mixture control. your afm meters air and ads fuel accordingly.
