    e30's leak water Yeah

    1991 318is
So the big storm just rolled up the east coast. Rain up the wazooo. My 318is takes water under the passenger rear floor only. This isn't the 1st time water has hit this spot. I usually park my car down hill and I have early model pop out side windows. No sunroof so that is out of the leak equation.. Anyone ever see the rear windshield leak and have it run under rear seat and onto the floor? (car parked facing downhill) Or would the side window that opens cause it? I would think if the side window leaked it would go into the rocker panel. Front floor is dry..

I just reached over today to adjust my passenger side floor mats and it was wet underneath! 1991 318is as well. I have never had this problem before. WTF is it from?!

i got this problem as well in my 325e...pretty sure that the front passenger leak comes from a weather seal leak underneath the wipers somewhere above the foot well (though that's in a right hand drive car)....but i've also got some strange leak in my boot that leads to the formation of a lake around my car-jack.

i have the same. i think its the grommet around the antenna. if its not that, its that the metal around the tail lights is sorta bent from being hit so the gasket might not seal properly.

if you have a leak in the front, search for the "elephant drain" on here and you'll see how to clear it out.

95% probability that its the drain cover in the floor well. They're sealed from the factory but if they've ever been tampered with then they'll leak. Clean it up and use body seam sealer to reseal it.
