Pros and cons of FI, strokers, or conversions

Like the title says, can anyone give me a quick little pros & cons list between building a stroker, super or turbocharging, or converting to a m50 or the almighty s50. I would have posted this in the engine forum but there isn't a main board. just subforums

stroker: less power per $ spent, but 200+ crank HP is achievable, which is enough for some people. plus it's relatively simple and you already have the motor, no worries about brake booster placement or wiring. it also looks stock. ;)

turbo: capable of much more power (300+), but then you have turbo lag, all the custom work that needs to be done. and good luck changing your spark plugs. it's also not cheap if you do it right.

swap: it's fairly straight forward, and you get a 24v head. but it weighs more than an M20, and if you go S50 it costs a lot more. you will potentially get better gas mileage than either a stroker or a turbo. that's one thing that is pushing me in this direction.

I'm sure there are other differences, but that's off the top of my head.

Matt built up a 2.8L stroker M20 and then turbo'd it. Lots of things to sort out, but once it was all done.....hang on!!! He posted some dyno figures too. I can remember the exact amount but I think it was close to double the output of a stock M20B25 (167bhp).

Run a search. You should find some info.

That depends of what adapter are you using, most with TD adapted manifolds have some issues changing the spark plugs.

My adapter wich is custom let me change the spark plugs like if there weren't any pipe or thing (turbo). :P
