Does the steering wheel nut need replacing?

I want to install my chrome cluster rings and alpina strip, but I'm worried that once I get the steering wheel off, I'll need to buy a new self locking nut.

Can I reuse the old one?

    Thanks

The nut isn't self locking and doesn't have to be replaced.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

i have reused the nuts a bunch of times but i would recommend just buying a new one they only cost about dollar. just to be safe.

i can not count the amount of times i've taken my steering wheels off to get them 1 spline closer to center (usually gets worse) and i've always used the old nuts with no problems.

Re-use nut, save $1. Repeat until you have enough $ to buy some common sense.
