I have never adjusted the valves and I have owned the car for the past 72k and it has 271k on the clock. Do I need to replace these parts or just adjust? Thanks.
Do I need new eccentrics and bolts for valve adjustment

no, but I like to keep a few of the nuts/bolts on hand as sometimes they can strip. the eccentrics can also get flatspotted. You could replace them and it wouldn't hurt, but you don't strictly need to. -
The flatspots, are they easy to identify? I hear they are more likely to occur in a situation like mine, where adjustments have not been made in a while. ThanksComment

yeah, just pull a couple out and look at them. they would be pretty obvious if they are there.Comment

Should I be good buying 3 eccentrics and 3 bolt/nut combos? The valves have not been adjusted in at least 75k. Thanks.Comment

Oh yes, I do the belt every 4 years. That is getting done at the same time. I kind of what to complete this start to finish, but not sure if I will end up having to order parts. Maybe I should buy 12 eccentrics.Comment
