I would start by retracing your steps you took to remove everything. Obviously its something you did or forgot to do.

Reinstall the ignition rotor? TB job is pretty simple, you must have disconnected something and not reconnected it.

Start by checking fuel and spark - go from there.

i guess the bla bla bla would be the ignition rotor...I think thats the only thing I left out. I did replace a hose clamp on the the intake system, but that was just take one off and put it right back on. would a timing light tell me if my timing is off with out pulling everything back apart?
I didnt change anything with fuel and the only thing i changed with spark was the ignition rotor.

Is it a late model E30 with a crank sensor? If so did you disconnect it? Did you mess with the spark plug wires at all on the cap itself? If so you could have them in the wrong order...

its a 88' 325is with a crank sensor which i took off and reconnected. I didnt unhook the plug wires at all just the distributor cap with everything connected still.

You may have the cps and cylinder identifier plugs swapped, they look the same.

Do you have spark and fuel? What kind of vacuum numbners are you getting?

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.
