    E39 / E38 window switches in my E30

I decided to do a new look other than the E36 window switches, so I snagged these out of a E38 7 series and modified them to work. Futhermore, I used the One Touch up/down part of the switch to control both windows at the same time. Click the second picture to watch them in action.

i just did mine with the e36 switches. i like the function on yours but i like the e36 switches better i think.

but it's cool. did u have to connect a module for the auto up and down?

I like stock E30 switches but think the E36 recessed style looks best. Clever way to make use of that 2nd stage in the switch though.

          I made everything with relays.

You're gonna make a write up RIGHT NOW.

I hate holding the button when I'm trying to shift gears and also steer..

Exactly. NOW! One more thing for me to fiddle with instead of actually fixing what needs to be fixed. :D

I am in the process of putting together a plug-n-play kit so all you have to do is unplug your factory switch and plug this in. I have to go get some cores in order to make them. If I have enough interest, I will produce 5 kits at a time. A kit will work two windows. I will never see any of this money since it is all going to pay for my wedding.

I'll support you and buy a set! Except can you do the auto up/down for each individual switch instead of the drivers side controlling both?

I am going to develop a few variations for different wants and budget.

                              1. E39 or E36 retrofit
                              2. E39 or E36 retrofit with auto down
                              3. E39 or E36 retrofit with auto up and down.

I will charge a core charge for each switch and refund the core one I get your factory switches. This way, you won't have to go without switches.
