The little metal clips can be pulled back on the electronics that go to the injectors. Once you have everything disconnected from the rail except the injectors, just pull the rail out. The injectors will probably stay connected to it, and then you just pull them out once the raill is out of the car. If the rail comes out without the injector, just pull the injectors out next. Be aware that fuel will come out of ther rail as you're disconnecting hoses, so either clamp them first or wipe it up later.sigpic

I have an M3, so Im ot sure if you have to remove the intake manifold or not, but yes I mean the little square clips, they slide back but dont come fully off. They allow the electronics to be unplugged. Once theyre of you dont even have to disconnect all the lines to the rail. Just pull it off, pop out the injectors, change the seals and pop em back together.sigpic

Yea its easy to do with the intake manifold in the car. Just remove the valve cover and you got all teh room you need. As for doing it teh way you have, pull the bolts that hold the rail in all of teh wiring harness(label), pull teh clips of (flathead worked fine for me, and then pull the damn thing up. You not in any real danger of hurting anything but just dont put to much force when pulling up on the Rail. Hope this helps.
