how would you know? my guess is you've just been basing your opinion on ignorant arrogant assumptions and have never done it. it's quite fun and good to learn car control as you can push past the limits unlike at the track since safety is a concern there.

plus, there's not necessarily a track even every weekend, and shopping cart racing definitely helps to fill in the void. hundred times better than ricing out a beaten tired ole POS with ebay parts and retarded ideas.

At leats my E30 isn't my real car, luckily i don't have to drive an E30 everyday. that would be depressing and miserable enough. but the fact that so many of the people on this forum actually take their 20 year old bmws are seriously as they do is even more sad.
