        Hey guys,

Its been a while since i last posted (b/c of holiday season) but I did finally make some progress. I got the E36 MAF and TPS sensor off of a 328 and the Apexi SAFC2 should be arriving very soon to my place. I also am ordering the mandrel bent exhaust pieces and the y-pipe so the full exhaust system can be done when i get back. the intake system shoudl also be finished soon there after. I will probably do fan delete as well while im under the hood doing the intake (with lower thermostat, 75C). Once i get those taken care of i will do a dyno comparion with those mods to see what the results are. After that.... Intake manifold + Apexi SAFC2 :)

          Picture updated... FINALLY

hey guys, finally got the car back from the shop with the new wheels and differential installed, I think they turned out pretty nice actually (especially considering both were free technically). I will probably eventually paint the centers of the wheels black to match the body color but for now i think its great. One thing u will notice though is the front is much lower than the rear, thats b/c i removed 250lbs off the back of the car and I now need to start at the front of the car. As soon as I do that, the car will even out. anyways here are the pics...

Coming soon: Blacked out grill and shadowline, intake, exhaust system, MAS and ultimately the Custom intake manifold project.

How do you figure you removed 250lbs from the back??

And those are probably one of the ugliest wheels I've ever seen on an E30.

So they're FUH RAZE! which apparently justifies completely compromising looks.

i think the wheels look good with the exception of that greenish center thing.

can you make a list of what it is that you removed that reduced 250lbs?

I doubt it, not in 17". Stock rims are quite light compared to most rims in plus sizes.

What do all the stickers on the car say?

                      Looks like "Desert Tech Performance."

it certainly does when youre trying to make the fastest car possible for the least amount of money possible.

Ha. Shouldn't have started with an E30 then.

Hey guys, the car came with TSW hockenheim CHROME 16's which are a whopping 23.6lbs a peice, these enkei rs evo's are only 19.4 for 17lbs (inch larger in diameter and lost 4 lbs a peice, thats not bad). Also not to mention the wheels had almost new 215's instead of the dinky 205's that were on the older car.

Yes i know the wheels are not the BEST looking... but for free... you can't get much better. I will be replacing the blue center caps with BMW emblems which are flat and much better looking. Also I eventually plan to black out the centers just exposing the lip.

The stickers say "desert tech performance". DTP was my first sponsorship and I have another one on the way. They do all the work on the car and David is one of the best and nicest mechanics out there, he hooks me up all the time b/c of the sponsorship, not to mention I'm his best customer.

as far as weight, I removed tar mats, Spare tire, jack, tool kit, carpeting, rear seats, rear door panels, some of the tar matting under rear seats (not as heavy as the trunk but still adds up), and also the Odyssey LTW racing battery (roughly 15lbs, saves about 30-40lbs depending on what u compare it to). I also got racing shell seats which are about 10-11lbs each with the mounts. I still have front carpeting in place and basically everything in front of the front seats is completely stock minus headunit which i took out already. once I start that the car should even out alot more (fan delete, AC delete, front carpet delete. Also stock exhaust system is still in place so when i change that out it will save alot of weight as well (roughly half the weight typically). replacing everything from just after the header flange with mandrel 2.5" piping. my goal is 2200 which wont be easy but im hoping I can do it.

I will be getting another sponsorship soon hopefully with a local exhaust shop, that way i can get 50% off exhaust system as well as 50% off everything else (DTP sponsorship).

I will finish off the intake system, fan delete and exhaust system, shadowline & blacked out grill coming real soon, just been super busy. I'll keep yall updated.

Why exactly would a shop want to sponsor a car like this?

Besides adding as much cheap stuff to this car as you can, what are you intentions for it? Strip it down to nothingness? No but seriously, this isn't a DD or anything is it? Track car?
