Holes under rear seat full of green fluid?

    Holes under rear seat full of green fluid?

    Hey,
    New guy here learning about my 89 325is I recenty purchased for $800. It's not pretty but I love it!.
    I pulled the seat up yesterday and found these holes on each side next to the subframe bushing pins full of a bright green fluid. Looks like antifreeze I guess.
    I'm wondering if anyone knows what these holes are and why they are full of this liquid.
    Maybe the PO spilled some stuff in the back seat or something and it's totally unrelated to the car but I found it weird and thought I'd ask.

          only reason antifreeze would be in the car besides an external factor would be the heater core. Does it smell sweet?

                  what does it smell like? maybe someone always carried and extra gallon of anti freeze with them and it leaked a bit?

                      How could fluid from the heater core make it to the back seat? Possibly the PO spilled coolant?

                              that is definitely coolant or something else?? nothing but spilled fluid could possibly get in there. But! get some paper towel, soak it up and blow the hole out. see if it comes back. in the mean time take the green slim to a chem lab and get it analyzed. (Grin) could be alien.

                                  Thanks for the replies, everyone.
                                  I'll clean it out and let you know if it comes back. Sounds like it was probably just spilled in there but I'm not ruling out slimmer or E.T.

                                          My guess is its some sort or silicone or sealant to cover the tops of the bolts.

                                          Those holes are for the subframe mounting bolts. From the factory there is a sealant over the bolts.

                                          On another note, have you put your finger in it? Is it a liquid or a solid?

                                                          Honestly though, a corroded penny seems just as likely as finding coolant under the rear seat. lol
