How much would machine work run on an 85 M20B27 engine that the oil pan cracked while driving and the engine seized up? Since used short blocks start around $100 would it be worth it to buy one of those from Euro depot or would those most likely need work too. Will I have to find a machine shop for BMW's or can I go just to about any reputable machine shop and they do the work? I'd be looking for a shop in the Dallas Texas area.

why not pick up a used M20B25 for $500 and swap that in? I don't see the point in rebuilding an ETA engine.Comment
