If the cylinder won't turn, then you can't get the cylinder out, nor can you get the wheel off without releasing the lock.

I'd use a slide hammer to pull the lock cylinder, then a screwdriver to turn the lock actuator and release the steering lock. Remove the wheel and upper cover, switches, etc., weld nuts on the anti-tamper bolts and remove the lock housing. Using the car's VIN, your ID, and proof of title, order a new lock cylinder & key from your dealer. Either get a used lock housing or, better yet, a new one.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      Any suggestions?

Tell us the story, then I'll tell you how to fix it.

I tried a slide hammer on my sedan and it didn't work. Used a drill slightly larger than the tumblers, drilled it out and was able to turn the cylinder. Once the wheel lock is open, the wheel can come off and plastic covers removed from the column and ignition switch pulled/turned to start the car.

So I lost my keys today. Well my bag was stolen with them in it. I have a Personal steering wheel that I can remove easy enough. Can I remove the ignition cylinder once the wheel is off and order a new one with keys (eBay). Can some one tell me how to do this? (with noob like instructions) thx

4 parts styrofoam, 2 parts gasoline, mix well until gel like. Scoop up gel like substance and pack into ignition. Using a match, ignite the substance.

I ended up drilling out the tumblers enough so that I could turn it to remove the whole cylinder.

However, if you have the factory ignition cylinder why don't you just have the dealer cut you a new key? Easier than replacing the whole thing.

When I bought the car the guy gave me 2 keys. One worked with the doors/trunk and the other worked with the ignition. I'm thinking the original ignition lock cylinder was replaced but I'm not sure. I will order the key using the VIN and see what happens. Thanks
