S52 swap fuel gauge and temp gauge not working

So ever since I did the swap the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge don't work. I tried changing the gauges and of course that wasn't the issue. On the fuel gauge the light still comes on when it's on "Empty" but the temp gauge doesn't work at all. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? I need the Temp gauge fixed asap because i am paranoid that the car will over heat without me knowing.
    -Fede Thanks in advance

Remove your cluster and tighten up the ground nuts behind the gauges. You should also look at the SI board to make sure that there is no corrosion and the batteries are in good shape.

Yeah good advice. If you find your Si board batteries leaky or low voltage, PM me and I can repair your board for low cost.

Aside from that, check your coolant temp sender. Be sure its resistance is within spec of the Benteley manual. You can also test the wiring by taking the wire from the sender and disconnecting it. The gauge should drop to completely cold. Then take the same wire and ground it to chassis, the needle should peg to completely hot.

Input to gauge cluster is the brown/violet wire on the blue connector.

        Greatly appreciate the advice guys.
One of my homies was telling me that my problems are because I am lacking the sensor's from the old engine. I don't know if this may be the cause but I will look into it. can anyone eliminate this from being the problem? Also removing the cluster was reallly tedious when I did it to previously switch the gauges with out succes. I didn't pull out the steering wheel. Do you guys recommend to take off the wheel to remove the cluster?

Taking the wheel off helps a ton. Just make sure when taking it off you mark it to the colum cause the splines are really fine.

gas gauge doesn't care about what engine you have. it also doesn't use the SI board. your ground nut is probably loose or missing.

the temp gauge requires the original sensor.
