    Remove condenser without draining radiator?

Is it possible to remove and install a new condenser by unbolting the radiator but *not* removing the hoses and going through the hassle of draining, filling, bleeding the system?

I've read that the condenser can be accessed by removing the bumper but that would be new territory for me.

    Thanks,

Anybody? Are the hoses flexible enough to push the radiator out of the way?

I don't want to remove the bumper because it hasn't been done before and the hardware is probably shot. Not in a position to be breaking/fixing new things right now.

the answer to your quetsion is i dont think so. No. You will damage the fins on rad and hurt yourself. Pull the bumper and valance. Its like 10 screws/bolts total.

^ This. You'd have to remove the fan clutch then unmount the radiator but you won't be able to move it much with the hoses connected and you will damage the fins on it. You can try it but there is risk involved.

what hasn't been mentioned is that your are also susceptible to cracking a line if you don't have proper access. these lines are old (remember this) undisturbed for 20 years. So use some heat and be gentle when cracking the seal.

as mentioned; unbolt the front bumper and remove valance. not difficult and much better clearance to work. while you're in there you can also inspect your fan to make sure it isn't starting to seize and you can also clean up the valance if you have rust anywhere.

Just quit being a bitch and take off your damn bumper. Shit giving people a tude that are trying to help you is not helping your case. It's easy.

Go fuck yourself. Stop with your little internet power trip because you don't know my situation. I just wanted an opinion on if it could be done. The bumper is easy until something breaks and your daily driver is shot.

you can use your car a lot easier without a front bumper than without a radiator.

stop being a newb because people were giving you the answer you didnt want to hear.

LOL I've removed/installed the radiator multiple times. Last time was after I swapped and rebuilt the head a couple years ago. All the fasteners are a couple of years old, as well as the hoses, so little risk of it not going back together.

That being said, I'll probably just pull off the bumper since it appears that the radiator would have to be drained.
