    What fell off my car?

Heard a funny noise, like something dragging against the road, then nothing. Pulled over to see what was going on. Saw these 2 wire connections hanging below the lip by the front driver side wheel.

Anybody care to enlighten me? (see attached photo)

That crossed my mind, but temp still works.

does your horn work? I think it uses a similar connector.

yup. As far as I can tell, everything works. It's possible this is a leftover, perhaps froma rewire job, prior to my ownership. But still curious.

"all" connectors in that area look like that, those on lamps just have a plastic cover that tends to fall apart.

I'm gonna say horn, but that's because my '87 has a dual horn setup. Looks like you're gonna have to get under there and do some checking.

Horn is still up. Radiator temp sensor is a possibility. I will investigate further.

Those wires go to to the OBC alarm horn. Your car should have three horns. It mounts on a threaded stud about 6 inches in front of the left side honking horn on the bottom of the frame rail.

Thanks. That's the most descriptive and confident answer yet.

I too believe it is the correct answer.

Common fail for the OBC horn bracket breaking in half.
                            Part # 61 33 1 380 019.

Sounds like you'll need the horn as well. I've got a spare horn in my parts bin. Don't think I have a spare bracket.

Is your splash guard missing? It works well to catch bits like this that tend to fall off.
