    more air w/o forced induction

Anyone have suggestions on how to get more air into an m20b25 w/o boosting...Im running rich and figure if i can just increase airflow i wouldnt have to revert back to stock fuel setup

I have this idea if you introduce more air in front of the sensor, you will run just as rich, this time you will be wasting more fuel. You have to add more air behind the metering sensor to lean it out, which you can't really do.

The way you used to lean it out and get more power was smaller jets. But since we have F/I cars you have to change fuel mapping in my opinion.

To get more air through the engine you must relieve the restriction on mass flow. Which means modifying the head and intake manifold or going to forced injection. Fiddling with the throttle body on intake is not going to help.

You don't say what you've done to the fuel system, but if you installed larger injectors and did not install a chip tuned for those the engine will probably be running rich. The fix for that is to install a properly tuned chip, not to try for more air.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

leaf blower plugged into your house. the only downside is you need an extension cord as long as the distance you plan to drive your car.

or you can remove fuel to get the correct ratio.

well, Ive got bosch 19# injectors, deatschwerks 255 fp and stock regulator...all tuned bya Mark D chip...the chip was ordered tuned for this setup and for 93 octane with 7100 rpm rev limit....Im confused because if the chip is tuned for more fuel, than I shouldnt be running rich, right?

also the spark plugs are showing that goopy dark stuff, which i believe is a sign of the timing being advanced too far

Well the engine would never know its warmed up so it would be in open loop constantly.

it's more that the engine will never warm up, so it'll be stuck in warmup mode which makes it run richer.

So really you need a block heater to augment those 19# INJECTORS.
Oh and remover hood as noted above.
Oh and when you do make sure you take of the lower portion on the intake box. Then twist the AFM and air box top 90 degrees so it catches on coming air.

yea open loop is warmup mode. I meant to say the ecu wouldn't know the engine is warmed up.
