Car won't start again

I busted my oil pan and changed it. i drove the car to get pressure washed to remove the oil from the bottom of the car. The car drove good for a while then it just shut off on me and won't start back up could it be my Fuel pump or did i mess something up by getting the bottom of the engine cleaned. Any info will be appreciated thank you ...

You could have damaged the timing sensors with the pressure washer.

thank you that could be the reason i was hearing a little tapping around the intake manifold i thought it was my lifters. can i change that sensor or is my motor finished @jlevie

You can change the sensor(s). Where they are and home many depends on which E30 you have.

there also may be accumulated moisture/corrosion in the C191 (fuel injection) connector located on the side of the engine under the throttle body. separate it and have a look

i have a 91 325i im going to check those out i thought it was my fuel pump..

Most likely engine to chassis ground cable which connects oil pan to frame rail on drivers side. Without a good connection, starter won't turn or will work intermittently.
