I moved the AC control lead from the aux fan low speed relay to the high speed relay so that the aux fan runs on high when you turn on the AC. It helps.

Are both the low and high speed control signals connected to the high speed relay? They need to be. The low and high temp switches are exclusive. When the low switch is closed, the high switch is off and vice versa.

A better way to do this that doesn't require fiddling with the car's wiring is to eliminate the fan speed resistor or bridge across it.

If you go this route you need to switch the low speed fuse from a 15a to a 30a. The wires are the same gauge so are capable of handling the higher amperage.

There's only one fan control from the AC. Its normally hooked to terminal 86 on the aux fan low speed relay along with the temp switch lead.
