Where is the connector for this?! Under dash wiring expert needed!
Where is the connector for this?! Under dash wiring expert needed!
I'm just trying to figure out what this plugs into. The white connectors in the background are all plugged in correctly but I have this one left over. There's a relay connected to it if that's any help...
I did some more "investigation" and it looks like the people with the alarm guesses/choices were correct. Figured out my car has a clifford alarm system...previous owner didn't mention it/give me a fob for it and it's never been set off or anything though...I assume the OEM alarm module was removed and that's what this plugs into? Should I not be concerned with it?
Here are a few more pics of where the harness start from/split off on their own...
starts at the top/ignition area of the steering column
from there the thicker black harness branches off into the one that the plug is on
then it branches off with this clifford module and another that was under the center console by the e brake
and here's the relay that's connected right near the end by the connector for good measure...
do yourself a favor and remove it or get it to work, my 318is was equipped with a hackjob alarm system that left me stranded when it immobilized randomly trying to start it. Had to cut it out.

That sounds like the cheap chinese made Relay (used for starter interrupt) that Luke loves to brag about more than the alarm system itself. The DEI Viper 350 in my E30 has been in for at least 15+ years and I never had a problem with it.

That is exactly why I never ever do starter kill or fuel pump kill. Would I trust my getting home on a cheap ass taiwan relay? Fuck no...10 year old relays that still work are better than a brand new Taiwan crap relay.
GL!
