    Blower resistor or something else?

The middle settings on my heat/ AC are not working. I changed my blower resistor and it didn't work. I cleaned my old one (which didn't seem dirty) and it worked for about a day or two than stopped again. Any suggestions?

Makes me wonder why the new resistor pack wouldn't work but the old one (cleaned) would. Maybe the wiring is defective/intermittent?

Diagnostics should tell you where the problem is. Use a meter at the resistor to see if the switch is providing power at the lower settings. If so, check the output of the resistor.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I went to install a new resistor and found this...no mention of it in the Bentley so I made a key fob from it. It explains why there was a mouse nest but no mouse.

Clean the contacts with scotchbrite and spray contact cleaner in the blower motor side. Since you already have the new resistor pack, just resurface the contacts real quick to make sure it's clean and makes good contact with the motor. Reinstall the resistor pack and test. I have also found it helps to spray cleaner in the blower motor itself on the brushes. If full speed position 4 doesn't work or intermittent...starts and stops...try another blower motor.

I just had that problem, and a new blower resistor fixed it. Stupid question, but are you sure you replaced it with a working part? Was it new?
