Change both, you will be happy you did. Not to mention bearings don't cost much. Shouldn't be more then $15.00 a side. I could be wrong here, I'm basing prices off of other cars, all american.

Yeah, you're wrong. You can't really base any parts prices for BMW off of American cars. The front wheel bearings come as an assembly with the hub and run about $75-90 per side, depending on where you shop, or work :) .

pull your wheel and brake caliper off and spin it rotor, you'll be able to hear which side it is for sure, vs, just guessing by turning the wheels..... all said and done it should take about an hour or two, not a huge job, you can use a pickle fork to pull the bearing off as long as your careful.

I am indeed going to be doing both just so I don't have to do it again in the future. Robby is going to come give me a hand so we'll have a little E30 wrenching day. I don't need rotors as my Brembos are only about a year old.

Patrick got me a hook up @ $70 a bearing for the SKF's which are usually like $88 on their site.

            what are "skf's?"

my bearings (I can't event tell which, probably all) are going. I noticed it last week. Could I roll with them for another week or two, or is that hazardous [to the car/me]?

It's a brand. The other common OE brand is 'FAG'.

From what I understand the other common brand for wheel bearings is Meyle and from what I hear they aren't as good.
