    differently weird SI board

i just inspected my gauges and it looks like the gears on my speedo are broken

my econometer is going crazy and wont stop bouncing back and forth from 0 to 40mpg...

but the really weird thing is that my SI board has no batteries...

the board is very short and small.

and what is that jumper for?

    see photos below

    now what should i do?
    1) get a new speedo and ignore the econo?
    2) get a new SI board & speedo?

ok update, speedo is now working again... but the inspection light is back on...

im guessing the photos of the gears above are for the odometer...

is the econometer ever to reach zero? mine never does...

Looks like you have an after market SI board. I don't trust them, cheap Asian knock off components and low production quality. Just trying resetting it, look for the procedure on how to do this, its all over the web.

Yes, those are odometer gears and you need new ones. Contact member Gargastic, he wells great replacements for a great price and fast shipping.

yes the econometer reaches zero when at idle. Si board usually handles feedback to tach, temp and eco gauge, could be something wrong with it.

When posting a thread like this, it's a good idea to state the year and model of your car if it's not already posted in your sig somewhere. Battery-less boards just use another type storage like capacitors.
