Do you have any problems burning it off? I used to think it was bad valve stem seals letting it in but now that I have a brand new head/guides/seals its definately rings. Total seal rings do a less then stellar job with thier oil scrapping job, but my compression is all 200-210.

I think I'm going to switch to 20w-50 this weekend and see if that halts the problem. I've never had an issue burning oil until I swtich to the 5w-50 Syntec.
I can't tell for sure yet. I've only been using it for 4500km on the new head, and my oil pressure sender has a small leak around its seal. Of course this happened about a week after the oil change; I'm planning to put a new one in at the next oil change (next month sometime).

That said, I haven't lost any significant amount of oil in all that time despite that annoying drip. With the old head I was burning a quart every 1500km, so I really don't think I'm burning any of the 5W-50

My rings are still OE with 324k.

Make sure it's the seal of teh sender and not the sender body itself. They are notorious for cracking and allowing oil to seep out and up the harness.
