Replace with higher compression rated springs.

Theres a reason why the rocker broke, was timing set correctly? Stuck/bent valve? Timing belt broken all together?

You need to first determine why it broke, then go from there.

Took the head off and brought it to a machine shop. No bent valves but my valve guides were worn so I'm getting it rebuilt. This sucks because I just paid another shop to rebuild my engine but apparently they did not replace my valve guides as promised... I was robbed. I was wondering why I still seemed to burn oil even after a rebuild. Now I know why.

Moral of the story? Do NOT bring your engine to S&S Speed Shop in Queens. They suck!

AND I guess I have to keep my revs below 6500.... But why buy a friggin' chip? lol

Opened up my valve cover - broken rocker!!

I'm guessing this would cause the car to not start either???

Any suggestions on what I should do next?

This was the intake rocker on Cyl. #3. Do I have to take the head off and get a new cam and rockers?

This was only 1,500 miles into my rebuilt engine. Sucks.

Do you have compressed air? Take the plugs out and blow the gas out with air.

Thanks guys. I ordered new plugs...

I'm wondering if I just pull the plugs and let the car sit for a day or two if the excess gas will evaporate. I'm a little hesitant to crank a flooded car with the plugs out - this would cause a fire in my mind... unless I disconnect the coil. Couldn't I just pull the plugs and hand crank the engine over a few times and get the same results?

I know new cars (like my rx8) do this, but I was unaware e30s do this.

If your car is flooded, just pull the plugs, crank, reinstall the plugs. Any gas will have evaporated in the mean time, but you can clean them up if you want.

You can also try to start the car with the gas pedal fully depressed.

If its flooded pull the plugs and turn it over. It will shoot out the excess gas. If there is a ton of gas it can clean all of the oil off of the rings leaving you with no compression. Does it turn over? Do you have spark? Fuel? What year and motor helps...

Can you flood your engine with fuel by doing fuel pressure tests?

My car died on me and I got lucky enough to roll right into my driveway. lol

Anyway, after diagnosing for a while I realized my relay was bad. But now my car will still not start... Could I have flooded it somehow? How can I "un"-flood it?

I went ahead a bought new plugs.
Also - my fuel pressure was 47 psi. Bentley says it should be 43.5
Should I order a new FPR?
