Another tip, use a floor jack to put pressure on the control arm at the ball joint. This will help you loosen the nut.

Is the nut turning with the ball joint? Or just not turning at all?

If it isn't turning at all you may need to apply some heat. This may adversly affect the rubber boots around the ball joint.

Get more leverage on the wrench with a pipe or something.

Yes, except for heat, I don't have a torch or anything. Not sure how I would heat it up, hairdryer? I will try to do the jack, but I'm concerned about putting too much pressure on the joint.

If you jack it up a bit it won't hurt anything, it will just make the ball joint seat fully so that it won't spin. If you can't even get the whole joint to spin though you made need to do as "willworkfore30s" suggested and use a cheater bar.

Going to try again when I get home, but I have bad feeling about nut. I can at least remove passenger side.

I am away from my computer, being lazy!

The socket wrench is too big for Jack handle unfortunately.

Use an extension on your impact... This isn't rocket science.
