Pop the hood, connect a charger/battery/jump to the positive connections under the hood on the passenger side firewall.

Shouldn't the lock turn regardless if there is power or not?

Remove the rear seat and go through the ski pass, assuming you have it punched out. I once did this at about 2AM in the middle of nowhere because I locked my keys in my trunk.

The lock will turn regardless of battery charge. I'm not sure if there's a way to actually open it from the inside.

Yes it should, im assuming his lock is jammed and since the battery is dead the central locking is not working either.

Passenger side firewall, the junction box.

Edit: Right, i figured your lock is not turning due to a mechanical failure. Of course it has nothing to do with the battery being charged or not.

Oh, I see your problem. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu that sucks.

I have no idea how to logically solve this problem, but get some power tools and show the lock cylinder who mo'fckin boss.

Then go to a jyard and pull another one, then get a key made for it. Perhaps someone is selling a lock set some where on the forum.

Most likely an issue with the tumbler, id imagine if you get power and hit the central locking the trunk will open again.

You can jump at the junction block as mentioned before. By push starting I assume you mean popstarting?

Put the car in 1st gear and depress the clutch as somebody pushes the car. When you get up to about 5mph(not terribly difficult) ease off the clutch. Make sure your ignition is set to on.

                      OK

Im assuming your central locking is not working due to a dead battery which in turn has you using the key to open the trunk, which is not opening due to a mechanical lock issue correct?

If so, no amount of push starting will work. The battery is simply too exhausted.

Do you get anything when you try to start it? If you dont get a click or a half attempt at turning over the motor, the only thing push starting it will do is make you tired.

Then you could probably just pop start it.

I usually get better results push starting in 2nd gear, that way the car doesn't try to take off when the motor catches. Also try popping the clutch rather than slowly letting it out.

Yes I've always had luck with second gear. Also, not recommended, but I've actually done it alone (it's not easy on a flat surface).
