Before I redid my head gasket, I did the seafoam thing. When I pulled my head there was such carbon buildup and whatnot . . . there is no way that little bottle would do crap.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here is my head after seafoaming. Didn't do a darn thing.

Just makes smoke, Ive used it before and really not impressed.

          Ingredients:
PALE OIL 40-60%-- light lube oil
NAPHTHA 25-35%--- mineral spirits or paint thinner
          IPA 10-20%--- Iso Propyl alcohol

Nothing special pretty much paint thinner and some lube what do you expect it to do? All the results people are saying is the placebo affect, it really doesnt do anything worth flipping out about.

not even in the gas tank? which is the real reason i wanted to do it..guy at the parts store said it does better than most other cleaners when trying to clean out the injectors and what not

For injectors, it is better just to remove them and rebuild.

                I will say this though,
While it's just snake oil for everything else.. if you have a drity ass engine crankcase wise it'll help with cleanup. I run a bottle in my oil to get moisture and crum out of everything. It thins the fuck out of oil so it'll seem past the rings and run dry after a few miles. You've been warned.

The consensus here is that it won't do any good in the intake, which I agree with. And I doubt it will do much, if anything, to clean the injectors. Injectors need to be professionally cleaned, rebuilt, and flow tested (I use RC Engineering).
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Seafoam was the first thing I did to my e30, on the way home from the seller's house (through skinny FPR vacuum hose, right above valve cover). It made a noticeable difference in idle quality and initial pickup from zero throttle. Doesn't add torque or power, but it does smooth out the engine. I say do it.

I agree with the other guys though, it won't clean out combustion chamber carbon (pulled my head recently: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=281905 pics on second page) and it's not a substitute for replacing or rebuilding your injectors.
