Just purchased 88 325i convt, AT. Speedo works, but odometer and trip don't. where should I start? Also, oil light flickers at idle, goes away when accelerating-has oil in it and seems to have oil press. Is there an oil pressure switch I should start with? thanks

The odometer gears failing is very common on E30's. You can buy new ones from member Garagistic on this forum, best quality and price around. The oil pressure switch is located on the side of the engine block, passenger side. Check wiring at connector and replace switch if problem continues.Owner - Bavarian Restoration
