    harness connectors

does anyone have the part numbers for the various size metal harness connector clips. From what I've discovered there are three types.

the type for the ICV and TPS on the m42 are a smaller u-clip that you just pull up.

there is a larger size of similar design to the above

then there is another u-clip for the coolant sensors in the head that need to be pushed down and spread to be released.

having a bear of a time with realoem and any other searches.

    thanks

you can't buy the clips, they are part of the connector.

the are just standard AMP/Tyco junior timer connectors and pins. you can order them from generic sources like mouser.com. there are only 2 pin and 3 pin versions on the E30 (except the AFM which I think is 5 pin but only 3 pins are used).

Wow, that is AWESOME to know. Thanks!

I don't want to hijack, but do you know which other types of connectors are just standard ones? It would be really cool to get a thread put together that serves as a connector part database because that type of info is extremely useful for repairs and stuff like Megasquirt installs. Please tell me you know which standard series of connectors the 7-pin round AFM connector and the M42's (and just about every E36) coil packs use!

some of those connectors aren't standard - the round ones usually. but the pins typically are.

you can get 2.5mm pins for the C101 and a bunch of other connectors really cheap too (10 cents each instead of $1.00).

              Yes please.

Many of the plugs and connectors on my '89 are falling apart. I tried to unplug the brake light switch and the plug disintegrated in my hand. I've been ordering similar looking plugs (pictures on realoem) but so far all wrong size.
