    Hello new member with question

Just bought my E30 and love it 1991 318i with m20 super ETA conversion with a 885 head.
My question is being new to these motors, my car has 4.10 gears w/ 5 speed and im turning around 2800-3000 RPM's at 60-65 MPH will this motor stand up to cruising at 3500 to 4000 RPM's? I dont want to kill it before I really get a chance to enjoy it.

It will do it without issue, however it will get rather annying. I'm currious does your seta engine have the stock cam and intake setup or was it converted fully to the I car setup?

      Thanks!
It is fully converted with 885 head.
It is a little annoying I agree but as long as I dont blow a valve or do any other damage I can deal with it.

You only float valves past 7k.

Do yourself a favor and swap to a 3.73 LSD either way. You'll be glad you did.

Yea I have been thinking about that a 4.10 LSD is a bit much for the freeway but damn its a lot of fun!!!:D

                  Nice looking car, Dean.

                  Congrats!

I would not worry too much about wear and tear on that motor, they really are tough as nails...but you are a more patient man than I if you can deal with that 4.10! A 3.73 is even a bit short-legged for my taste, but I bet that thing just rockets to 60 MPH.
