ZF4HP22 weight?

I have an automatic trans I need to ship but its in the car still and I need to get quotes.

does anyone know how much a ZF4HP22 weighs with or without a torque converter installed?

150-175lbs I found googling around, it was used in many cars.

I would get a quote for 200, package it like your life depends on it, and insure the hell out of it.

ground has a max of 150lbs, hoping its under 150 without tq converter

not worried about packaging it, but freight is a lot more expensive

looks like a 4hp24 sans converter is 125, so that should be about the same right? same case and pan..?

I just pulled one out of my trunk the other day and while I had help I think 125 without the TC would be a safe estimated. The TC is probably another 30.

I know exactly what a dry G260 weighs, I ship those all the time -- this is the first automatic which is why I'm specifically asking for ZF4HP22 weight.

This thread says it has a dry weight of almost 80kg. If you dont speak metric thats 176 lbs

he must mean with converter? I was able to lift it off of my trans jack pretty easily after removing it yesterday.

will weigh it before it goes out and post up for future people needing to know

that LandRover 4Hp22 has a more substantial bellhousing than the E30, the pan is a bit different too, that may make up some of the differences

ZF4HP22 bone stock with flex disc, pan and bellhousing. fluid drained.. 108lbs

torque converter
31lbs

total shipped weight in a tub with some mild reinforcement was 149.80lbs.

.19lbs under the limit of Ground shipping.
