        wonderful internet hearsay

IE motor mounts are great, the tranny ones are a bit fuhraze and made my car sound like it was a fully stripped race car with a prepped v10 in the front.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

there is a review of the IE bushings in the "review" section, I think Jordan reviewed them. Never heard of them being crap. Another website to look at (no experience) is bmwbushings.com

Just out of curiosity, why would someone want urethane engine mounts? Aren't engine mounts supposed to quell NVH from getting into the cabin? And won't urethane suck at that? If doing this for reasons of strength, wouldn't getting aluminum holders for rubber mounts do a better job of it all?

                            ummmmm

                            urethane is strong.

e30 motor mounts like to fall apart at the track, or just in general. achilles heel specifically on track

NVH isn't really that increased by the motor mounts. tranny mounts are the significant influence

Well, the mounts are there to absorb NVH, true. The purpose of urethane/solid mounts is to make sure that maximum torque is delivered to the drivetrain, rather than being absorbed by the soft rubber mountings of the engine and transmission.

I guess urethane is just a middle man between rubber and solid aluminum.
