Blinkers are Fast and Turn Signal Doesnt Light

My Left Turn Signal Indicator Light on my Cluster doesnt light and both front and rear blinkers are working but fast. What is the issue? Just a burnt out cluster bulb causing it to be fast?

Interested. I have fast left signal with no lights lighting up, sometimes.

Its a burned out buld somewhere in the system or a loose connection

My right signal does that from time to time and I just have to wiggle the bulbs in my right tail light and it goes back to normal

I was wondering, I get a check panel light for brake lights, I wonder if it's related. I will investigate.

So its just the bulb in my Cluster that needs to be replaced and it should work at normal pace?

have you checked the blinker fluid reservoir?

              ^ ellll OOOOO elllll

Anyway. When you blinker is blinking fast, its because there is not enough resistance in the system to keep it to its normal pace. Light bulbs are like resistors. Therefore, if one blows the blinker speeds up. This is simplifying it a lot but it means one of the bulbs on that circuit (i.e. any bulb that would go out if you pulled the fuse for that circuit) could cause the problem if its blown. I would start with the easy bulbs first. Make sure all your taillight bulbs work first. Then the turn signal bulbs. If thats all good, then get into the cluster

I think my issue was dirty connectors in the tail light housing.

When I got my car, I had fast blinkers on both sides. It drove me crazy because all the bulbs worked. I cleaned all the contacts on everything--that fixed the right side. The bulbs had an enormous amount of dielectric grease applied, like the PO thought that was going to fix the issue (it made it worse). On the left side, I finally noticed that the little pin on that screw-in connector on the taillight housing had come off and was barely making contact, but would do so at times. I soldered a piece of bare wire from a piece of romex on in place of the missing pin and have had normal turn signals ever since. You can also just replace the plug part with the pins, naturally.

One other issue I had is that the cheap ass jagoff PO had installed a trailer hitch (don't get me started on that idea) and the wiring harness for the trailer lights was all hacked into place by removing wire cladding and soldering the splices on. Removing all of that junk probably helped, too.

The wiring on my iX is all hacked together from some PO. They wired up(if you can call it that) the turn signals to dual filament bulb holders from walmart, but wired them to the wrong filaments in the bulb, so they were dim and blinked fast.

and re the blinker fluid suggestion, i dont agree i think its possibly a cluster f*k.

hows my humor coming? any funnier? ;-)

Left turn signal indicator not lighting up on the cluster could be either that the bulb in the cluster is burnt, or there is a break in the circuit for the bulb in the cluster. I had this problem in my car. Turns out that it was a crack in the circuit board in the cluster which opened the circuit. A little solder to at the crack and all was good. I read some post online where someone had the exact same problem on his e30 cluster.

I found my issue. Seems to be the switch itself in the column. When it's acting up, I can usually get it to work by messing with the signal stalk. Either turn off then turn signal back on or wiggle the stalk a bit. I'll be picking up another switch next time at the pull yard.

Had the exact same issue with the taillights in the previous car.
I check the grounds, pulled the bulb and cleaned up the connector, and hasn't happened since.
