    radiator with built in overflow??

I been searching for hours now and I thought this was somewhere but idk.

I am looking for and all aluminum rad with the overflow tank on it, so you can clean up the bay some. I thought there was a group buy or something. Also what hoses would you need then? I did see one on ebay but it was like 800 bucks

a new overflow tank is only $100. I think you could probably buy 2-3 aluminum radiators with what you'd have leftover.

If you're that hell bent on having an integral overflow tank, I'd just buy a mishimoto radiator, drop it in, take some measurements, take it to a rad shop and have them make the overflow tank to your specifications.

The rad can be had for $250 or so, all you need to do is see how much a shop would charge. In the end though.... you probably wouldn't even save that much money.... maybe even spend more. Call around.

the original e30 overflow tank position (early or late) is better honestly.

E36M guys who are serious often fit the european overflow tank (its a e30 overflow tank mounted to the firewall).

the E36 rad has it mounted right next to it, but it's not integrated. E30 and E36s radiators are the same.

the M42 has it built in, but it's a bit on the small size.

isn't it easier to bleed with a higher overflow tank or something along those lines

the e36's bleed much better when the euro bottle (late model e30 bottle) is fitted.

the USA model e36 is known for stupid bleeder plastic screw issues. overflow tank mounting is also crap (1 plastic clip) compared to a e30 or E36 euro mounting with steel brackets.

never had a problem with the late E30 tank.

one thing I don't like about the early one is it's right over the headers.
