          Anyone have a good/easy way to test the CPS? The description in the Bently book isn't too clear as it tells you to check a black or yellow wire with a multimeter. Only prob is you can't see the black and yellow wires due to the black outer shielding.

          I've read that if you can see that you have spark/fuel the CPS isn't the prob.

          If anyone has a good simple way to go about testing it, do post it up. Thanks!

            If you look closely, the prongs should be numbered somewhere on the plastic connector housing.
            If you can't find them you can pull of the rubber boot and check. Check this link to see how the boots attach.

            The black (#2) will be in the center and then you can just put the MM on one of the outside prongs and one of them should give you continuity (~540 ohms).

            The yellow wire is marked '1'.

                hey guys,

                i would have gotten back sooner but it snowed here pretty good and no one could come out to lend me a hand.
                snow finally let up and i was able to have someone come out and give me a hand. i did a simple test on the CPS. i checked for spark, because in my search across the interwebs i read that if you have spark/fuel then the CPS wasnt a factor.

                so with that,

                i have spark, and i have also jumped the fuel pump relay...pump doesnt prime/make any noise what so ever.

                im going to go ahead and rule that its the fuel pump that shit out.

                    Fuel pump was sitting at the door when I got home. Installed the new one, boom. SHE LIVES!!!!

                    Thanks to those who helped me out with some trouble shooting. I really appreciate it.
