So on my 91 vert if I leave the car sit for a week or so and then go to start it up gas pours out of somewhere on the passenger side. Where ever the gas was sitting the leak stops when it's done and doesn't do it again. It's in the air now and of course not doing it. Has anyone else come across this?

Well youre in NJ so Id assume either rusty tank..or rubber fuel fill tube if its coming from passenger side -
That's what I thought but the riddle I want to solve is why it only happens after sitting for days.Comment

I vote for a rusted y- pipe up by the filler neck.
Sitting, the tank warms, expands, and pushes fuel up there.
Answering this riddle is easy, but there is only one way to do it- take things apart.
I'd start with the cover inside the right rear wheelwell, and the covers over
the tank under the back seat.
tnow, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george gravesComment

Well I hope it's that easy as that Y pipe. The car is on stands, seat out, access panels off, RR wheel off. Just waiting a few days to see what happens.Comment

Found it. Just turned out to be a loose hose clamp under the seat. Funny, I've never been under there.
