    Heater core: doomed to fail?

    I have seen many members posting about leaks from the heater core. Should the heater core be replaced as a proactive maintenance item?

    That's one thing you don't fix unless it is actually broke!
    The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

      No, you don't need to replace it unless it's leaking.

        Mine is still the original, - 250,000 some odd miles. I wouldnt worry.
