3rd brake light bulb removal help

Hi all. I've been doing a ton of searching on how to replace this bulb. Now, I've gotten the cover on it off but I cant seem to get the bulb out. I pulled the connector and the pin out on the bottom of the bulb but i cant get the pin out from the left side... Am I even supposed to remove it? Am I missing something here?

You change the bulb from the trunk not inside the car. And if you had a vert the 3rd brake light is on the trunk lid not inside the car.

Yup- there's a hole in the trunk directly under the bulb...

There's no access from inside the trunk. I said I had already gotten to the bulb.. I just can't get it out.

Looks like your going around your elbow to get to your asshole.

And certainly a big difference between vertical and non vertical which is why I asked. The difference, while obvious, was previously answered.

In that photo of yours, it looks like you are pulling out the bulb from the base?? The bulb is between the red lens and that black curved piece. Trying to pull the bulb through the hole where the base mount?

The pic of from the back seat. I see the bulb but don't know how to pull it out. I don't understand what you are asking?

I have absolutely no memory of the 3rd brake light looking anything like that...
it looks like you have to remove the whole housing then?

Then looks like theres a clip on either end, should unclip the full housing

Figured it out. The whole thing slides off backwards from the base. Then there's a tab on each side and the bottom you have to press. Then it was just a matter of sliding the inside part out of the housing. The bulb is removed from the inside.
