    This guy knows whats up. Also just buy the damn $10 spring loaded tool, perfect adjustment every time. If it saves you 10minutes of fiddling, it's paid for its self already.

      I don't have enough room in my garage to move my car back and forth. a ratchet on the crank works fine, assuming you don't have a mechanical fan and all that stuff - just wear leather gloves to protect your knuckles from the cheese grater, er, radiator! Plus you guys with stock compression have it easy, turning the motor by hand takes way less effort.

      oh yeah, I did the adjustment hot for the first time a couple days ago - it worked really well. I had to wear gloves to avoid burning myself, but my valves are quieter than they've ever been. I might try the starter bump method next time if it makes it go faster though.
