Front bumper light and turn signal issue

Having a front bumper light and turn signal issue described below on an '89 m3..

When parking/head light switch is pulled on, the front bumper light doesn't come on - but the headlight city light does.

When left signal is activated on stalk, it 'fast clicks' but does not light up in cluster, nor does not light up on front or rear light housing of car.

Right front bumper light and signal works and operates as should.

Bulbs all appear good and working without any issues.

Fuses are all staying lit when lights are on and turn signal activated.

    = = =

Not sure what else or what to check to get the front bumper light and turn signal to work properly?

That sounds like a headache and a half. Pick an end point, like the cluster bulb or turn signal and work backwards until you find power with a multimeter.

And just because bulbs and fuses appear good, doesn't mean they are. Swap them around anyway.

First inspect the rear left turn signal bulb to make sure it's good. Then check the front left bulb. Once you're sure they are both good, inspect the contacts in the front housing. Resurface or bend the tab out to ensure good contact. Reinstall the bulb, turn on the left signal. Try wiggling the bulb while turn signal is on and see if the problem is the front housing contacts and corrosion. It could also be corrosion on the contacts behind the housing as well.

        Thanks.

Front left housing, I adjusted the contacts and it seemed to help get the front parking light function of bulb working.

The turn signal flashes fast still. I swapped the rear right bulb to left side and still had fast left flash issue, while right side works fine.

Noted that when turn signal bulb was removed from left rear housing, green turn signal indicator would flash fast within dash. When bulb installed, get fast flash but no dash indicator flash.

          Update & bump.

Summary: fast left turn signal with no lit bulb when selected.
Right side turn signal works fine.
          Hazards on and all work.
All new bulbs with contact grease.
Left side turn signal flashes fast and neither rear/front light.
          Fuses under hood all ok.

I checked the connecters without removing front bumper by
raising car and wires looked okay. Moved the 2 wires around
but did not change it lighting when turn signal activated.

I was thinking the turn signal stalk? It does make fast-click
          sound when left side activated..

Or the fuse that is also supposedly under dash?

I would have bet on the front housing contacts either at the socket or behind the bumper. You checked the turn signal relay also?

The drivers front housing socket contact needed to be adjusted some in order for the light to function as parking light & hazard light.

I tried to adjust socket with bumper on - will see to remove bumper and check out over weekend.

Where is turn signal relay located?

                under the steering column.

                  Update.

Replaced the relay and that did not help.

I'm now leaning towards turn signal stalk as it's last component to change. It works when the right side is on, but not the left side.

The question is... What p/n for the turn signal stalk to order? Does the 6-button OBC version also work for the 12-button (for an e30 m3)?

Is this the correct p/n: 61311375190
