    E30 Tow Hook thread

    Hi, I am trying to locate a racing tow strap for an E30 which will bolt into the OEM tow hook eye. There are options available for later models (E36, E46 etc). Here is one for the E36: http://www.modbargains.com/turner-mo...-tow-strap.htm

    Question is, does anyone know if the tow hook thread for an E36 is the same for the E30 (and therefore the tow strap options for the E36 would also work for the E30).

    Looks to be the same. You could measure the thread pitch of a e30 tow hook and then ask the company for the thread pitch.

      It's Turner. If they don't know off the top of their head, I know they will have at least 1 e30 around to test fit it. Just give them a call and ask.

            Dont know if this helps, but I bought a CNC Tow Hook from sleezbay and its fitment is spec for e36 and e46. Almost took it out one day to pull my girlfriends car.

            Which makes me feel pretty certain its shared size.

              I just called them and apparently the OP had already called them from Australia.

              Just a note, it'll fit late model and euro e30s, but not early model us e30s with the diving boards.
