Late e30 abs not working.

Late models (89 on) do not have the external relay under the dash.



The relay is integral with the ABS Hydraulic control unit, the relay does not have an internal fuse link.



So what are the symptoms ? Is the ABS light on or the ABS system appears to not be working ?

Light turns on 50ft or sometimes 5mi later. Did the unplugging all but one test, all corners work. Confused. (Sorry for thread jacking)

Looks simple enough, I know the sensors can give misleading signals if they get coated with metal fragments as they do during use.

I'd start by checking the ABS ECU ground wires....maybe they're loose and shaking around while driving.
