Radio / HVAC panel reassembly

Removed radio / HVAC panel and I'm having trouble getting it back together. Specifically, the two screws above the coin tray area.

When I removed it, the two flat sheetmetal fasteners on each side fell, and I can't figure out how/where to put them. It seems like they just slide all over the place when I attempt to get them back in. I'd appreciate some help, thanks.

You may have to squeeze them together with some pliers so there is enough friction to hold them in place.

^ Yeah. Squash them so they hold better. Once you get those screws back in, you'll find yourself making excuses to never remove them again in the future. They're a PITA.

Thanks. It looks like the PO had some difficulty with this as well. I had some trouble unscrewing the right screw, only to find out it was a smaller screw that had been wrapped in masking tape to provide some girth.

I'm pretty sure there's a tinnerman clip to take th screws
