Ticking noise from front passenger side

Hello, so I'm curious if anyone has ever heard something like this. At lower speeds the car makes a ticking/thumping sound that goes away with speed. It only goes away though because the wheel goes faster with speed so you can't hear it anymore. Sometimes it's really loud, other times you can't even hear it. Weird thing is it doesn't do it in reverse. Someone told me it may be the wheel bearing but I thought wheel bearings were a humming sound at higher speeds.

    Anyways, help is appreciated.

Just got word that the sound was only happening on stock wheels, that when on 16's it was not happening.

Also that the bearings and other misc things were recently all replaced so it can't be that. Hmm.

If the sound goes away on a different wheel, then maybe the problem is the tire? Bad cord/bulge/something stuck to the tire, etc.

So today I went to get my exhaust put on and I noticed this also. I contacted a buddy of mine over at BMW and he's getting me the parts to replace it. Maybe this could be it? Idk.

The car drove great for the first 2 days without noise. That night though I hit something and it started doing the sound more. So I'm guessing this thing is flapping somehow and hitting something. Or the movements make it clunk around.

Ok, I ordered that replacement part but I'm worried that it's not it. Today it did it LOUD, after not doing it for a day or two.

The sound: It sounds like a motorcycle, or better yet. Put a poker card on bike wheels and ride around. It sounds like my e30 wished it was a motorcycle. Lmao. I'm leaning towards an axle being bad or on its way out but I didn't see anything wrong with the axle. And if it was that, wouldn't it be consistent?

                couple of things -

if you're able to pinpoint if its a front noise or rear noise, swap the wheels front to rear and see if the sound follows. If it does then its tyre related. Maybe a screw in it.

If you're able to pinpoint the corner its coming from pull the wheel off and a rotor to see if any sticks or rocks are stuck between the rotor/dustplate or anything is lodged in the pads.

pop the dustcap off the wheel bearing nut to see if anything is floating around in there as well.
